The Crystal Candy Newsletter (September 2019)

Well, here I am about to piss off my readers.

I’m really sorry, in advance.

Something kind of occurred to me all at once over the past few days, and it’s that I’m a moron.

When I started Crystal Candy, it was meant to be more fun and free-flowing and supplementary to Misty Vixen. And it was, when I was writing A Warm Place in the beginning. But then that changed. In five short months, it has become not only the thing that I write first and foremost, but it’s become a huge source of anxiety and stress.

To put aside your immediate fears, let me confirm that no, I am NOT canceling this pen name, nor anything that I’m working on. That’s not what’s happening.

Instead, I’m saying that I am relegating Crystal Candy back to what it was supposed to be: supplementary.

Again, I want to apologize. I’m sorry. I honestly wish I had the mental fortitude and endurance to just keep up with everything. Some days, I can. Some days, I do all the stuff I planned on doing, and then do more. Some days, I can hardly fucking write a hundred words.

I’ve dealt with anxiety and depression for basically my entire life, and I’m still dealing with them. One thing I’ve learned is to pick your battles. If something is causing you undue stress, you should really prioritize. And right now, Misty Vixen and Parasexual and Haven and Demoness are my priorities.

So, functionally speaking, what does that mean?

It means that I will have a set word limit for Misty Vixen almost every day, and if/when I hit that word limit each day, if there is time/energy leftover, I’ll work on Crystal Candy. I will try to make an effort to put in at least some work every day, but I definitely cannot keep up this weekly release schedule. It’s just killing me and giving me serious anxiety problems.

So, once more, I’m really sorry.

For now, I’ll be working on Refuge. As I mentioned before, I might also begin working on my survival-horror series, since it’s a lot more interesting. I’ve learned, with some success, how to push past it when what I’m writing no longer interests me, but when I’m really into something, the words flow like a fucking river.

The Crystal Candy Newsletter (August 2019)

Newsletter time! Sorry it’s late, normally I put these up on the 1st of the month, but as I mentioned earlier, I was on something of a vacation.

Not a whole lot to say. The first trilogy of Refuge is done.

So if you’re interested in sci-fi, military action, and people fucking a lot, pick it up!

August is going to largely be dedicated to my next series, a fantasy harem set in a world similar to my Fantasy Universe. I intend to have it up by the end of the week. As always, the first chapters of my works will be available as an early access feature for 3$/month over on my Patreon. I’m also going to attempt to finish off getting nude versions of the ladies of A Warm Place soon, but it does cost money and take time.

Last week of the month should see Refuge 4 and the kick off of the second trilogy in that series, then once that’s wrapped up, back to the fantasy harem, and so on and so forth.

To those that are supporting me, by leaving reviews, or donating through Patreon, or buying or borrowing my stories and reading them, thank you so much. It means more than I can properly convey. It is so appreciated.

And now, onto the writing.

The Crystal Candy Newsletter (July 2019)

Hello everyone.

Not much to say, besides the fact that I finished A Warm Place!

You can read the whole series right here.

Overall, I’m decently satisfied with how it turned out. If you want a little more expansion on my thoughts of the series, check out this blog post.

So what’s next?

Refuge - A Sci-Fi Survival Harem.

So yeah, that’s my new series. I’ve been planning it for a little while now. I took the last week of June off to catch up on Haven 2 for Misty Vixen, (which partially worked), and plan Refuge. I didn’t get as much done as I’d like, because I ran into some personal problems.

Presently, I’m attempting to adopt a strategy to help me work around the limitations in my life. Right now, what that’s looking like translates to you getting a new Crystal Candy title once a week. It isn’t really the pace I want to work at, and if Crystal Candy was the only thing I was working on, then I could probably get two titles a week out. But that simply isn’t the case, and I can’t keep trying to push myself like that, because it doesn’t result in more getting done, it actually results in less getting done, because I’ll go really hard for a day or two, and then on the third day I’ll feel fucking brain-dead, and get depressed because I feel like such a lazy piece of shit, and then instead of writing at least some, I’ll write literally nothing, because I know I can’t hit my mark that day, so why bother doing anything?

It’s a bad cycle.

The first episode of Refuge should be going up by the end of the week. Wish me luck.

Oh, also, sorry the drawings have slowed down. I’m a little strapped for cash because of the way bills have fallen and the money that I do have set aside for drawings is being diverted to having new cover art created for Misty Vixen, because I think that will make a massive impact in the long run. But Jessica is presently being worked on!

The Crystal Candy Newsletter (June 2019)

Okay, my first official Newsletter! Unfortunately I don’t really have much to say. To anyone who is reading this who isn’t up to speed on who I am, please refer to this blog post. In short, I write sexy harem erotica, and I am also Misty Vixen.

Let’s play catch up first.

So, I launched Crystal Candy in April. Since then, I’ve managed to set up a few online presences. Here’s a quick rundown.

  • TWITTER: This is my main social media presence (besides this site). I’ll update here whenever I post new stories.

  • AMAZON: This is where all my stories end up.

  • PATREON: This is for people who want to go the extra mile to support me. Here you can get early access to parts of my in-progress work, and also nude drawings of the women in my stories.

That’s the gist of my online presence. As for writing material, so far I’ve managed to write eight stories in my A Warm Place series. As for what that’s about: Set in the near future when a new ice age has devastated the planet, A Warm Place focuses on a skilled survivor named Chris, who finds himself in the presence of several very attractive women who are eager to get intimate in this frozen, post-apocalyptic setting.

In May I also began a GameLit Sci-Fi Action series called Planet of the Bugs. I wrote two titles in it, and then decided to call it quits. For a more detailed reason as to why, please refer to this blog post. For a brief explanation: I wasn’t enjoying writing it and it wasn’t good enough GameLit, so there really wasn’t a reason to keep going.

Okay, so that basically gets us all caught up. So what’s coming up?

I intend to finish A Warm Place by the end of June. Right now, I’m aiming for 12 total titles. It’s possible that it could go on for longer, but I’d like to end it without dragging it out too much. I do like it, and I do plan on writing another series set in the same universe, but I have so many other ideas I want to get to. I’m aiming for about one release a week. I’d like to go faster, but I do also need to find time to write for Misty Vixen as well.

The only other thing I can think to mention is that I will try to get more nude drawings out to my Patreon in June. Jessica is presently being worked on, and will hopefully be done soon. Hannah comes next. Also, Susan is already out, and you can actually see Lara nude for free right here!
